Independent Master Watchmakers in between Book Covers

The internet is a wonderful information source when looking for details on subjects not covered by main stream publishing. About two years ago I spent some time to gather information on independent master watchmakers from websites, particularly reports ab

AHCI - passive members?

Hi All, I was just looking at the AHCI website and noticed a section called "Passive Members" that includes Soren Andersen, John McGonigle, Thomas Prescher, and Volker Vyskocil. Does these mean these firms are no longer trading? If that were the case, I'd

Addenda...and Do pens count?

Even if defined as "masters" who passed the AHCI criteria once before, there are anomalies. Frank Muller is missing from the list even if he is a watchmaker-in-name, nowadays with a big boss. FP Journe is on the list but actually in the same position as M

No chance for the rest of us...

If Damjan has his eyes on that book our only hope is to try to guess the answer before the question is asked. Here's a few good-natured guesses. It’s thirty years since… John McGonigle was first translated into English; Philippe Dufour gave up smoking (ag
